Bistro/Cafe Chairs Description
The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSW is a contemporary version of the legendary Fiberglass Chair.
It was originally produced in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Museum of Modern Art's Low Cost Furniture Design Competition in 1950 and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.
This replica Eames Eiffel chair was one of the first plastic chairs to be mass produced and has made its own stamp on design for half a century. The Replica DSW chair's clean, simple shape is sculpted to fit the profile of the body. The rounded profile of the seat contrasts starkly with the angular legs to create a stunningly striking design.
The molded shell seat has a high, flexible back, a deep seat pocket and a waterfall seat edge to promote seating for extended periods of time. Not just a beautiful chair to look at but serviceable in all aspects of use.
